My passion for industrial furniture began with leftover reclaimed lumber my dad had from a client project of his. I was in college at the time and looking for an inexpensive, thoughtful Christmas gift for my girlfriend (now wife). My dad and I made a coffee table out of some beautiful salvaged yellow pine and cypress from a barn in the boot heel region of Missouri, and I was hooked from that point forward. In looking for new projects for my new-found passion, I stumbled upon the industrial look of pairing steel with varying styles and kinds of wood. Since that time, I’ve come to love hairpin legs and steel table frames paired with not only reclaimed wood, but exotic wood and marble tops as well (for those after a sleek modern feel).
